RIDE SIDE BY SIDE WITH WILDLIFE HERE!
Area: 180 000ha / 9 900ac is a wildlife sanctuary. With Peace Parks Foundation’s support, the Lozi people protect part of the biggest terrestrial cross-border conservation system in the world and improve access to food, health, livelihood opportunities and education – by responsibly managing and protecting natural resources and wildlife.
Across the KAZA Transfrontier Conservation Area, elephants follow ancient migratory routes spanning five countries. The KAZA Zambezi elephant migration is the largest in the world — seasonal journeys to and from the Zambezi River for water. These ancient routes are crucial for ecosystem health, yet fragmented by human development and borders, often leading to human-elephant conflict.
Conservation efforts here focus on restoring corridors and keeping wild spaces connected — allowing natural dispersal, balancing human and wildlife needs, and safeguarding the long-term survival of the world’s largest elephant population.
In the Simalaha, these giants are reclaiming their safe passage.
To witness these herds moving freely is nothing short of magnificent.
